Motorcycle and Bike Collisions
A motorcycle crash can lead to severe injuries including spinal cord injuries, brain injury, amputations, serious skin abrasion or even death. You also immediately face another battle - the battle of defending your rights.
It is not uncommon to be faced with prejudices people have against motorcyclists and their immediate reaction to blame the motorcyclist in the event of an accident. Because of this prejudice, your lawyer might have to defend your rights more vigilantly. As a motorcyclist, you are all too aware of the lack of respect for motorcycles on the road. Our attorneys are also aware of the lack of respect motorcyclists are given in many legal contexts. This makes it important for your lawyer to get on the case quickly and defend you vigorously. Our experience and understanding of motorcycle accident cases enables us to stand up to insurance adjusters and juries as we work to help you obtain compensation. Our attorneys are always well prepared to combat unfounded arguments of comparative fault as well as prejudices many people have regarding motorcyclists.
Don’t be a victim twice. Let us provide your case with the backbone it needs. Tabor Law is your partner in life changing cases.
Case Study
Dudley Case Study
Indiana State Police Lieutenant Gary Dudley helped coordinate and annually participated in a charity bicycle ride around the state of Indiana to benefit C.O.P.S. ("Concerns of Police Survivors"), an organization that provides support to families of officers who are killed in the line of duty. In 2006, Gary was riding his bicycle in the charity ride with a group of other police officers southbound on State Road 63 in Vermillion County when the riders' support motor vehicle was rear-ended by a truck being driven by an employee of Degendant Towne Air Freight. As the truck collided with the support motor vehicle, both vehicles were propelled forward and Gary was struck and killed. Tabor Law Firm successfully represented Gary's wife, Carolyn, in an action for his wrongful death. Our investigation revealed evidence that the Defendant driver failed to keep a proper lookout, was speeding, and was following too closely before he hit Gary.
